Anthony Timis is an accomplished trial lawyer with a concentration in plaintiff’s personal injury and civil litigation. Prior to arriving at Woolsey Morcom, he served as a state prosecutor in the 7th Judicial Circuit, having successfully handled thousands of cases across multiple counties. Throughout his career, Anthony garnered excellence in trial and in the courtroom.
Among his successful record in trials, one of his most notable accomplishments was obtaining a guilty verdict on a designated sexual predator and reoffender, securing the maximum sentence, and initiating long-term Jimmy Ryce proceedings. Anthony also received recognition from both MADD and local law enforcement for his achievements in prosecuting DUIs. Recently, Anthony was recognized Top 40 Under 40 by the American Institute of Trial Lawyers. Today, Anthony uses his successful experience to aggressively advocate on behalf of our clients.
Anthony earned his law degree from FAMU Law while teaching mathematics at the high school level. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Vincennes University, where he now teaches Homeland Security Law and Criminal Justice to military and law enforcement members throughout the country as an adjunct professor.
He is best described as providing a personalized approach that makes the complexities of the legal system easier for clients to process. Anthony is intentional about handling each case with sound leadership while maintaining open channels of communication with his clients:
“One of the most frequent complaints I hear about this profession is that people had an attorney who rarely spoke to them, or that they did not know what was happening in their case. I pride myself in maintaining accessibility and regular communication with our clients, and that is something we consistently emphasize here at Woolsey Morcom.”
Anthony grew up in North Florida, where he still lives today. When not working, he enjoys spending his spare time at the beach, fishing, and being involved with his local church. He is a member of the Federalist Society, Christian Legal Society, and Inns of Court.
